A good friend of mine has always been into adventures, getting out and trying new things. I got a chance to go when his father had some last-minute plans conflict with a class to learn how to go sailing on some small sailboats in Lake Mead just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. We spent two days in a class an in some of the local sailboats in Lake Mead learning how to sail a small sailboat and get certified.
With a little bit of time in the classroom and some textbook studies, a small test and then some hands-on work in the boat out on the lake we got certified. Sailing a boat was never something that I expected to do in my life. It wasn’t really a hobby that ran in my family or my friends but i was glad I got the chance to get certified it was kind of eye-opening experience to learn something new and maybe get a new hobby. Later in life if I get rich and want to have a sailboat that would be something that I could definitely see me doing.

My buddy that went ended up getting his own sailboat in the South Caribbean around some of the most beautiful islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Lucky for me i made friends early on because it’s ended up being a relationship that helped me have one of the most incredible life experiences. Check out some my future blog posts, I’ll be talking about St. Vincent and the Grenadines and our adventures in the wild seas battling some scary storms, lost luggage and some wild adventures.
