My bro Tyan and I, check out his instagram he’s awesome biker, had the genius idea to go head off and backpack a small trail into the backcountry of Snow Canyon. Camping on a cliffside in the middle of February sounded like a better idea at the time. We really didn’t think about the fact that it really gets cold in the desert winter nights and woke up freezing to death. With my sleepingbag sliding towards the 1000 foot cliff.

It was quite an experience, we headed off from Red Mountain trailhead just off of State Road 18 to Snow Canyon overlook a measly 2.5 miles out, which in my personal opinion is one of the most beautiful views in southern Utah. We got there early enough to gather a massive pile of wood to burn, or so we thought. Running out of wood early and having the genius idea to not bring a tent, we slept in our sleeping bags just on the sand. I was sick of being frozen around five in the morning and got my butt up to go pick up some firewood to start the fire and some breakfast. I got to enjoy the sunset of a lifetime with the whole hillside was just glowing orange. Overall a horribly fun experience.
