Fifteen Minutes Of Fame, Rappelling Cougar Cliffs

Working at Dixie State University doing marketing for the Campus Stores kinda had its perks. When I’m not being involved in marketing, design and other stuff around campus, I got to know some people involved with promoting Dixie State University. The marketing department of the university was looking to do photo shoots and video shoots of some students from Dixie State University that had cool talents, more unique degrees and things they were passionate about. I had the chance to do a photo shoot and get my face plastered on two billboards, that was pretty cool.

Perks Of Being Passionate About Hobbies & Work

I got my 15 minutes of fame with those ads and I’m told by people quite often that they’ve seen me on a billboard. It was pretty awesome, but the funnest was being able to show people my love for extreme sports rappelling the Cougar Cliffs area here in St. George Utah. above is a video of the universities ‘I Am Dixie’ campaign that I has the chance to be spotlighted in. This was a ton of fun, if only I could’ve done it perfect the first few times. I think while filming this I rappelled the cliff may be about 15 to 20 times to get the perfect shot. Was kinda intense doing a slacked out jump rappel and like you would see in Mission Impossible.
