The Important Stuff I Always Forget To Bring Bouldering

Bouldering-Things-Not-To-Forget

I keep making the same mistake every time I go out climbing it’s incredible how often I can’t forget some of the most important things when we go climbing.

The Trusty Climbing Headlamp

When we go bouldering just outside of town at Garth’s or Moes Valley, I seem to always forget to remember my headlamp.  We seem to always end up staying past dark where my trusty iPhone saves my butt every time.  For real though it is really hard to get your project by moonlight or three of your buddies phone lights.

The Nectar Of the Climbing Gods

For the sake of any hot woman you talk into bouldering remember fresh water. (nobody likes stale month old water that has been sitting in your trunk). I seem to forget bring the fresh water all the time. Water is definitely useful when you’re out there in the hundred degree weather we love St. George for, nothing is better then sweating on the first holds of your project.

The Magic White Roll

Climbing tape, not toilet paper, Although the latter is very important as well. Lastly is climbing tape for those awesome flappers that you end up getting (most of the time when none of your friends remembered their tape). If you’re in town St. George has a great climbing store, swing by The Desert Rat to pick up all the stuff you need.
